There are many differences between IE3 and academic writing. I have to write research paper longer and more logical. I did research harder and get deep knowledge. Moreover, feedback is very detailed and helpful. Teacher gave me many good advices. There are many grammer mistakes and too geneal information. I cannot realize that I wrote too general information and lack important generation. I lerned that I have to write research paper with many significant informations clearly. I must think avoid using needless information, too. My teacher taught me that. I got many useful advices after I hand in my research paper, it helps me a lot and I feel easy to write it. The biggest difference is my feeling about writing. I didn't like writing before I took this lesson, but I like writing now. Thank you very much.

I think your Academic writing class differs from IE writing 3 so much. Firstly, the research paper is more specific and longer than essay. We should understand specific knowledge and specialist's opinion about our themes and shouldn't use some words such as "I" or "doesn't." Besides, we could learn how to write papers in a specific way in more detail than IE 3, for example, how to quote someone's opinion, the way looking for jounals, or how Bibliography should be written. Honestly speaking, I wasn't satisfied with IE 3's taughts because explainations of my previous teacher were not enough to understand how to write essay clearly, but now thanks to your teaching which is in detail with practicing and activities, I could make my paper finished. There is also different point. In my IE3 class, our teacher corrected our grammatical mistakes but did not suggest content's concreate advises. You suggested us concreate example for helping to remake contents, so I could make it clear. In some ways, IE3 class and AW class are different, but I am satisfied with your class and finishing my research paper. I am confident with writing long paper now thanks to this class.

There are some differences between IE3 Writing and Academic Writing, I think. Firstly, the main difference is the amount of words we have to write. In writing an essay in IE3, we wrote about 300~500 words. However, we have to write about 1500 words in RP in AW. In AW, we have difficulty not only in just writing so many words, but in organizing the contents. Second difference is the contents, or what we write about. In an essay, we don’t have to worry about structure, organizing, sources, and so on. On the other hand, we MUST worry about them. In addition, we have to get as much information as possible for RP, and also write bibliography at the end of RP. This is because we have to avoid plagiarism. There are still a lot of differences between IE3 Writing and Academic Writing, but those above are main differences, I think.

I noticed few differences form the IE writing and this course. The first difference was the amount we have to write. In IE we usually had to write about a page or two. In this course we were required to write about 1500 words total. To be honest this is the longest I ever wrote in my entire life in english. The second difference is the paper itself. In IE class we wrote essays where our opinion was important. In this course we learned to write a research paper. We have to give more facts with supporting details than our opinion. Finally the in text citation. In IE we had no in-text citations but we had a reference. In this course we had to give in-text citations. Everything was new to me in this course so I have struggled a lot. I hope I can use this skill I gained in this class for my future.

What is not different about the two is that we use MLA style. However, I noticed that there are a few differences between the two. One of the differences is the amount of words. We did not write as many as 1500 words in IE3 class. Another difference is the number of sources. We need to use more than 7 sources in research paper. Also the feedback is more detailed in Academic Writing. I have noticed so many errors in my paper thanks to the feedback. In IE3 class we did not study MLA style nor how to write a paper that much. On the other hand, we got specific directions from Nicole, so it was easy to understand what was going on in the class.

I think there are some differences between IE3 and Academic Writing. The first one is the amount of words I had to write. In the essay of IE3, I needed to write only 350 words. It was not so difficult for me and seemed to be a little bit short. However, in the research paper of this course, I had to write about 1500 words. It sounded too hard, but it enable me to write more detailed information, so it was good for me. The second difference is structure. In the research paper, I had to organize some information more specific. This is the biggest difference and most difficult for me. Except for these, there are many differences such as more complicated bibliography and quotation rules. As a result, however, all of these differences made me write better paper than IE3 one and get new knowledge that will help me in many kinds of fields.

There are some differences between IE3 writing and Academic Writing. In terms of writing task, research paper in this course is longer and one topic, but essay in IE3 writing is shorter and I wrote two topics. Both teachers gave me feedback so this point is not so different from each other. Also, teaching style is little bit similar, but I think I could learn each part more detail about research paper and practice it in this course's class. Another different point is that my opinion for the topic and citation in essay of IE3 writing is most important. However, we must not use "I" in research paper of Academic Writing. Also, there is differences of references, that is, the differences between work cited and bibliography. Of all points, I think that most different point is whether do step-by-step or not. I felt it is better for writing paper which is long because I can take care each paragraph. I want to use writing skill properly which I learned in both classes when I write essay and research paper.

Academic writng differs from IE writing largely. First, the amount of writing of academic one is larger than IE one. I've never written such a large amount. Because of such a large amount, Nicole checked our paper diligently. It helped me very much. The style of feedback is also different from IE writing. I could learn my grammar mistakes and correct way of writing in each feedback, and I tried making the most of feedback in the next submission. On the contrast, the teacher checked only my final draft in IE writing.

I could realize my mistakes and problems clearly because you gave me many advice. I could finish witing my research paper thanks to your help.

I found some differences between Academic Writing and IE3 Writing. First, the contents is different. I had to write much detail of my topic in Academic Writing. In IE3 Writing, I wrote about one topic as well, however, I had less words to write, so I wrote basic information about it. Second, I found the feedback differs. In this course, I could get your feedback step by step. On the other hand in IE3, I got teacher's feedback only when I sent the first, second, and final draft. It was hard for me to write paper with little advice from the teacher then. From these differences, I think I could improve my writing skill. Thank you for teaching, correcting, answering questions, and helping class. I would like to keep remembering what I learned in this course.

At first, I had worried about this course because I am not good at writing English. My IE writing teachers said that Academic Writing will be very hard. But you are so kind that you teach us carefully until we can understand perfect. And we did tasks step-by-sep, so I could solve my questions in each class. Thanks to this, I could write my research paper correctly only by myself. Your slide shows on the screen are really easy to understand for me. I could attend class without feeling boring. We could understand points on the screen concisely with your explanation.

I think there are many differences between IE3 and Academis Writing. First, Academic Writing is more specific and difficult than IE3, so I have to research about my topic so hard. To write it, I have to read someone's research papers and they were difficult to understand, so It took many time to research it enough. Moreover, I have to write research paper much longer than IE3. However, my research paper has many useless words and Nicole cut all of them, so it was very hard for me to write research paper enough. Advice that teacher gave me is also different. In IE3, teacher did not give soecific advice like Nicole, so I did not know what point is wrong in my paper. Nicole edit and revice my paper so much and I could realize that point. In addition, in IE3, I have not had a time to ask teacher to give me advice, but in Academic Writing, I have many times to ask Nicole to do that. To write longer and more specific paper every week was so hard for me and I had thought I wanted to stop writing paper and I did not care failing this calss or not. However, now I finished writing my research paper and I feel very good. I will use this writing skill in my school life.

There are some differences between the two. Of course, in AW, the amount of words is larger and the content should be more logical than IE3, but I also felt learning style and the way of feedback is diefferent. In IE3, students had to write all of body paragraphs at once. Also, they did not have much time to discuss research papers in class. Compared that, there were a lot of opportunities to talk with peer in AW. Also, feedback was more clearly in this course. However, I learned MLA style carefully in IE3, so it was helpful in AW.

I think Academic Writing is business or professional writing. It is formal by avoiding casual or language, such as contractions or informal vocabulary. So I have to use impersonal and objective by avoiding direct reference to people or feelings, and instead emphasising objects, facts and ideas. For example, "do not" is more formal than "don’t"

I think there are some differences between AW and IE3 writing. The first one is the number of words. In IE3 writing, I wrote 300〜400 words. However, in AW, I had to write 1500 words. At first, I thought that I would not be able to write 1500 words, but I could write 1500 words step by step. Secondly, I could learn much grammer than IE3 writing. On my paper, there are some grammar mistakes, but thanks to Nicole, I could collect mistakes which I could not notice. Also, I could learn organization. In IE3 writing, I did not know that. Through writing research paper, I could learn a lot of things.

I think, there are some differences between IE3 Writing and Academic Writing. At first, I wrote about 700 words in IE3 but I have to write about 1500 words in this course. Since I had never written such a long research paper, it was hard for me. Next, in IE3, I did not take care about subtopics. Moreover, I did not know that I have to write subtopics in my body paragraphs. Therefore, my research paper did not have a unity than now. Finally,I have ever written research paper some times, but I have never learned how to write it in detail (what is bibliography, how to translate from Japanese into English and so on).

I think there are some differences between IE3 Writing and Academic Writing. First, in Academic Writing, we have to research topics deeper than IE3 writing. Before writing research paper, we should prepare many things plenty in Academic Writing. For example, we should read book, journal and article about topics. Second, amount of words differ from IE to Academic Writing.
